The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Berlin is one of over 100 Indonesian representative office, and headed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary. Indonesia's relationship with the Federal Republic of has traditionally been characterized by development cooperation, investment in the resource sectors, and a growing level of trade.
The Embassy provides a wide range of services. Among others, the Embassy provides consular services to Indonesian who are travelling or living in Germany, such as passport renewal a nd document legalization, or other consular services. It also provides visas to German citizen wishing to travel, to research, or to study in Indonesia. It helps Indonesian businesses to promote their goods and services in Germany, and encourages the investment into Indonesia. It also manages, in conjunction with the Department, Indonesia' s overall political and cultural relationship with Germany.
